Program Overview

At Five Star Rated, we connect homeowners with top-quality home service providers in dozens of service categories using a highly selective qualification process. Five Star Rated guidebooks and search-optimized online listings reach homeowners in 19 major metropolitan areas across the country.

Through our parent company EverCommerce, we’re able to partner with other EverCommerce brands to connect companies with their future customers through SEO, paid media, social media, website design, email marketing, and other forms of lead generation.

How the Program Works

To qualify for the Five Star Rated program, your company must meet our qualification criteria.

To determine your company’s rating, we first analyze your Google reviews. Your company must meet the following criteria:

  • An overall 4.0 or greater Google rating over the past three years.
  • A minimum of 25 Google reviews for the first year (and 15 upon annual renewal) for the primary category you’d like to qualify for; a minimum of 10 reviews for each additional category.

*If you don’t meet the 25 review (15 upon annual renewal) threshold, we will ask you to submit a list of customer names for internal research. We conduct internal research via email (preferred) and/or phone surveys with your customers.

As we work on your qualification status, we will ask and verify the following information:

  • Does your service area match our guidebook distribution maps?
  • Are you advertising the service categories you’re qualifying for with Five Star Rated?
  • Is your company in good financial standing?
  • Is your company active and in good standing with the Secretary of State?
  • Do you carry an active general liability policy?
  • For states that require worker’s compensation, do you carry an active workers’ compensation policy?
  • Do you have active state-required licenses for your trade?

Once your company qualifies for the Five Star Rated program, we invite you to promote your achievement by being featured in the Five Star Rated printed guidebooks and on fivestarrated.com.

Updating and Changing Company Information

All Five Star Rated companies work with our in-house Customer Experience team and Editorial department to create a company profile that will appear in print and on our website.

If your company’s contact information, service area, or field of work changes, please notify our Customer Experience team via email as soon as possible so that your company’s profile can be updated across our platforms. You can also contact Customer Experience via phone at 877-902-7575.
