Answering Service

Five Star Rated offers an Answering Service add-on for customers who need call center support to answer phones and receive leads.

Our team will answer calls on your behalf, gather key information from each caller (including their name, phone number, email, and project details) and deliver a summary to your preferred email(s) after every call, so you never have to worry about missing a lead. 

How It Works

When homeowners call a company’s Five Star Rated tracking number, the call routes to our call center. Our team acts as a comprehensive call screener, filtering out calls you do not want based on your preferences. We immediately screen out unwanted calls, including:

  • Unqualified job interest
  • Solicitors
  • People looking for employment
  • Wrong numbers
  • Spam

We only forward messages for relevant customers interested in your services, current customer service calls, and vendors calling specifically for your company. If a caller is inquiring about work you do not provide, we will inform them directly to eliminate the need for follow-up. This allows your business to return calls with all necessary information for a productive conversation.

Our call center team answers calls on this schedule:

  • 8:00 am to 9:30 pm ET Monday – Friday 
  • 9:30 am to 4:00 pm ET Saturday 
  • We do not offer Answering Service for calls that come in on Sunday. 

Calls received outside of our call center hours can be routed back to your own voicemail or routed to our call center voicemail. When routing to our voicemail, we will follow up on calls and send forms to you as needed. 

You can also request that our team picks up calls on a modified schedule, such as between 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm after your business is closed for the day.

Signing Up

If you’re interested in signing up for Answering Service, please reach out to your Account Manager or contact [email protected]. You will receive an intake form to gather your preferences and any specific questions you’d like us to ask your callers. 

Our standard form will collect a caller’s name, phone number, email address, and project details, but you can also add your own custom questions, such as whether the project request is for a repair or installation. 

Please note that Answering Service uses a tiered pricing model based on monthly usage and is billed separately from your current call rate. Your existing lead costs remain unchanged.

When signing up for Answering Service, you’ll be billed a one-time set-up fee of $200 and monthly for the prior month’s usage by the 15th of each month. Your rate is based on the total minutes used that prior month. Full terms can be found in our Terms & Conditions.
